Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pyrrhus Epirus (ranked 6254 p4p, 510 weight class) and Frank Barnes (ranked 7171 p4p, 531 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Barnes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Barnes.
Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barnes misses with a body punch

and Epirus counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Epirus decides to return to a standing position.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Epirus lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barnes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barnes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And Barnes tries to counter it with a takedown but Epirus pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Barnes scores with a jab. Epirus acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Epirus - that will leave a mark!
Barnes gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Epirus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barnes won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Epirus decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Barnes missing with a left hand there. Epirus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Some wild striking there from Epirus.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes tries to land a body kick

and Epirus counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Epirus stands and steps away. Barnes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Barnes lands a leg kick that knocks Epirus off balance momentarily.
Epirus throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Barnes is looking for the big counter here.
A solid body kick from Barnes.
A solid leg kick lands there for Barnes.
Frank Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Epirus blocks a low kick nicely.
Epirus bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Frank Barnes has been cut.

Barnes tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Epirus drops Barnes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Barnes looks back up at him and smiles so Epirus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barnes.
Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Epirus manages to avoid it.
Epirus is looking to land body kicks.
Both fighters circling a little - Epirus finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Epirus gets in close and tags Barnes with a short punch that almost sends Barnes to the mat! Oh Barnes is in big trouble! He turns his back on Epirus, trying to create some distance but Epirus rushes him, striking wildly and Barnes goes down! The referee tackles Epirus into the cage to end the fight! Epirus is one violent man!
