Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duncan drives through and clinches with Nelson against the cage.
Nelson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Duncan just stands there and leans against the cage.

Duncan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Duncan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Duncan trying to keep a closed guard but Nelson is proving a slippery customer.
Nelson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Duncan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nelson is controlling him.

Duncan looking for a guillotine here but Nelson defends easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Duncan can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duncan trying to keep a closed guard but Nelson is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nelson is looking to advance position but Duncan has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The referee warns Nelson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Duncan prevents Nelson from getting the reversal.
Duncan is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Duncan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Duncan scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Nelson is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nelson tries to reverse the position but Duncan maintains control.
Nelson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nelson is squirming around, avoiding Duncan's attempts to control the action.
Duncan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Duncan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nelson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Duncan wants to control the pace but Nelson is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duncan unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Nelson wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Duncan celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Duncan!
