Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bredemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duncan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Falling - Drapht. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Bredemann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bredemann stuffs the takedown attempt from Duncan. Duncan gets slowly back to his feet.
Duncan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bredemann is fending him off so far but Duncan persists. Nope, Bredemann circles away and we're back to standing.
Duncan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bredemann paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bredemann throws a body punch but Duncan moves out of range.

Bredemann closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Duncan to the mat! Duncan manages to get full guard.

Bredemann controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Duncan controls Bredemann momentarily but Bredemann frees himself.
Duncan wants to stand but Bredemann is controlling the position.

Bredemann won't allow Duncan to sweep him here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Duncan scores a takedown into full mount!
Bredemann wants to hold on but Duncan pushes him away.
Duncan is looking to stand but Duncan has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Duncan fails to advance to Bredemann's back.
Duncan avoids the attempt from Bredemann to control.
Bredemann sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bredemann is looking to improve his position.
Bredemann has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duncan is working away from the top position though.
Duncan wants to stand up but Bredemann has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Bredemann controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bredemann wants to get back to full guard.

Bredemann looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bredemann is breathing heavily.
Duncan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Duncan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Bredemann dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Duncan is looking to clinch.

Duncan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Duncan postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bredemann can't keep his opponent in guard - Duncan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bredemann is trying to maintain the position but Duncan is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Duncan wants to pass to mount but Bredemann is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bredemann looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Duncan is fending him off so far but Bredemann persists. Nope, Duncan circles away and we're back to standing.

Duncan gets caught flat footed, as Bredemann shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Duncan controlling the position.
Bredemann trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bredemann trying to control the position from guard on top but Duncan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bredemann stopping the sweep attempt from Duncan.
Bredemann passes Duncan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Duncan tries to kick Bredemann off but Bredemann keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bredemann is trying to control. Duncan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Duncan is trying to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bredemann doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Duncan counters with a takedown into side control.
Bredemann is looking for a sweep.
Duncan tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bredemann's legs.
Bredemann is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Duncan asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Duncan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Bredemann shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Duncan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Duncan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bredemann's waist but Bredemann gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Duncan off to one side.

Bredemann drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bredemann controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bredemann seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Duncan for as long as he can get away with.
Duncan pulls Bredemann in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duncan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bredemann!
Bredemann tries to hold on but Duncan pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Duncan controlling his opponent.
Duncan punishing his opponent with strikes.
Duncan wants to control the pace but Bredemann is squirming around nicely.
Duncan throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Bredemann is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duncan looking to control but Bredemann is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bredemann tries to lock up and control but Duncan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Duncan raining down shots from the mount!
Bredemann is looking to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bredemann is working hard here to advance position.

Duncan is working for a guillotine from mount but Bredemann frees his head quite easily.
BOOM! Duncan connects with a massive shot to the dome!

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mike Duncan.
I think Duncan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
