Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Steve Robles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Iceman !
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iceman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robles tries to avoid it but Iceman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robles to the ground. Robles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Iceman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Robles's half guard.
Robles is refusing to be controlled, as Iceman sits in half guard.
Robles missing with punches from the bottom.
Robles moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Robles lands with a heel strike from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Iceman throws an elbow that misses. Robles uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Iceman 's guard. Nice move by Robles!

Iceman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Iceman working for a triangle but Robles defends it easily.

Robles won't allow Iceman to sweep him here.
Iceman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Robles is controlling him.
Iceman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Iceman wants to stand and escape but Robles is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Robles postures up.
Robles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Iceman wants to sweep here but Robles controlling him for the moment.
Robles is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Iceman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Iceman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Iceman wants to sweep but no luck.
Iceman looks winded!

Robles stands up over Iceman , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Iceman has a closed guard, preventing Robles from standing up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Robles shoots in but Iceman avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Iceman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Robles is trying to defend but Iceman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Iceman not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, if Iceman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Robles works his way to full guard. Good work.
Robles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Iceman wants to control from the top but Robles keeps moving.
Iceman throws a strike but Robles rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Iceman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Iceman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Robles will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Robles clinches with his opponent.

Robles's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Iceman is defended easily by Robles.
A counter left hand to the body from Robles misses its target.

Iceman clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Iceman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Robles jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Iceman walks away with a smile on his face. Robles gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Robles shoots in but Iceman avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Iceman is looking to clinch but Robles is avoiding it.

Iceman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Robles pushes Iceman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Iceman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Iceman decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Robles gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Robles fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Robles. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Iceman pulls guard successfully.
Robles preventing the sweep.
Iceman is breathing heavily.

Iceman has his feet on Robles's thighs here. He's pushed Robles off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Robles screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Jake Iceman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
