The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson fails with an attempt to clinch.
A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Diaz fails with the takedown.
Diaz dives in and grabs Jonhson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jonhson pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
Jonhson feinted with a counter takedown.
Jonhson wants to clinch up but Diaz keeps it at a distance.
Diaz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jonhson is looking to reverse the position.

Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jonhson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diaz lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown but Jonhson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Diaz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As Diaz looks to move away, Jonhson throws a big counter combo but Diaz just gets out of the way.

and Jonhson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Diaz moves into range and clinches up with Jonhson.

Diaz looking to sit in guard and control but Jonhson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jonhson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Jonhson, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Jonhson against the cage but Jonhson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Diaz wants to get back to his feet but Jonhson is dominant here and he's now got Diaz's back!

Jonhson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Diaz defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jonhson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Diaz is trying to get back to his feet but Jonhson has full control of the position and if anything, Diaz has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Jonhson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Diaz has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jonhson cracks Diaz with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Diaz from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Jonhson darts in looking for a takedown but Diaz gets double underhooks and turns Jonhson into the cage.
Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jonhson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat.
Jonhson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diaz but Diaz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Diaz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Horrible takedown attempt by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Jonhson, which made it look bad.
Jonhson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jonhson is in Diaz's guard.

Diaz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jonhson escapes and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jonhson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working.
Jonhson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Diaz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jonhson but great work by Diaz.
Diaz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jonhson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
