The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos shoots in and bounces Rose off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Rose can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dos Santos controls the pace.

It looks like Dos Santos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Rose tries to sprawl out of it but Dos Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rose manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rose gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dos Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
