PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Barack Obama (ranked 290 p4p, 12 weight class) and Natural Born Killer (ranked 1017 p4p, 50 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Natural Born Killer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Obama gets tackled into the cage by Killer. Killer maintains the clinch.

Obama wants the takedown. Killer is fighting it off but Obama persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Killer's guard against the cage.

Obama is looking to pass into half guard but Killer pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Killer is in guard.

Killer won't allow Obama to sweep him here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Killer throws an elbow that misses. Obama uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Killer's guard. Nice move by Obama!

Killer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Obama utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Obama manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Killer manages to get himself to full guard.

Obama wants to pass the guard but Killer is keeping the position.
Killer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Obama is one step ahead there.

Killer wants to improve his position but instead Obama has moved into half guard.
Killer tries to roll over but Obama keeps him under control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Killer is still trying to improve position.
Obama is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Killer!
Killer has given up his back here. Will Obama look for the submission or keep pounding away?
I really don't envy Killer right now.
Obama gets his hands free as Killer looks to control.
