PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Tiequan (ranked 8480 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hooker (ranked 4055 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hooker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tiequan's guard.

As Hooker looks to move away, Tiequan throws a big counter combo but Hooker just gets out of the way.

Hooker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tiequan's waist but Tiequan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hooker off to one side.

Hooker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tiequan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hooker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tiequan smiles and moves away.
Tiequan stuffs the takedown attempt from Hooker. Hooker gets slowly back to his feet.
Tiequan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hooker.

Tiequan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hooker pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hooker jumps guard and drags Tiequan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Tiequan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
