PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heavy Metal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and War Steroids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Steroids's choice of entrance music: Immortal - Tyrants. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metal tries a head kick but it misses.
Steroids shoots in but Metal avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Metal scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Steroids can't do much from the bottom here.

Metal decides to stand back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Steroids.
Steroids tries to move to mount but Metal blocks the move with his legs.
Metal is pushing Steroids's head away, looking to escape. Steroids manages to hold on to the position though.
You can see the frustration on Metal's face as Steroids controls the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Steroids is working Metal over with some ground and pound from side control.
Steroids tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Metal avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Steroids.

Steroids is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Metal knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Metal dodges the ground and pound from Steroids.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steroids tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Steroids has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Metal pushes Steroids away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Steroids gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Steroids thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Steroids swings around for an armbar but Metal sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Steroids's guard.

Steroids has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Metal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

War Steroids showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Steroids is working to tighten is grip on Metal's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Metal has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Steroids is really squeezing tight and eventually Metal passes out! Steroids breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
