Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and colm hynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler comes to the cage accompanied by Anthem for the Underdog. Jake Tyler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hynes doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyler circles away.

Tyler gets in close and instigates a clinch.
hynes keeps control of Tyler as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
hynes lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Jake Tyler has been cut.
hynes is trying to stall.

hynes is pressed up against the cage. Tyler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag hynes down to the mat. hynes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tyler drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but hynes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tyler has hynes in his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
hynes doesn't have the hooks in and Tyler manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyler wants to stand and escape but instead hynes has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
hynes wants to control from the top but Tyler keeps moving.
hynes tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyler is retaining full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jake Tyler.
I think hynes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
