And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kim Suarez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez tries to clinch but Henry is having none of it.
Suarez fails with the takedown.
Henry chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Suarez looks to throw a body kick
and Henry counters with a two punch combo.
Henry looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kim Suarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suarez throws a series of punches but Henry moves out of range.
Henry throws a nice inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suarez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Henry connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Henry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Suarez's waist but Suarez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henry off to one side.
Suarez is looking for the big counter here.
Suarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Suarez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Suarez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Henry stands and steps away. Suarez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Suarez shoots in for a takedown but Henry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Henry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Henry lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Suarez manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Henry wants to get back to striking at distance but Suarez won't allow it.
Suarez tries to break the clinch but Henry is controlling the position.
Henry is pressed up against the cage. Suarez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Henry down to the mat. Henry avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Henry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Henry showed some decent athleticism there.
Suarez is looking to improve his position.

Henry gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Suarez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Henry regains guard.

Henry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Henry wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Suarez is now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry is trying to maintain the position but Suarez is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Suarez is trying to control the action in half guard but Henry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Henry is looking for a sweep. Suarez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Suarez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Henry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Suarez somewhat.

Henry wants to stand but Suarez is controlling his posture from full guard.
Suarez pulls Henry in close to prevent any damage.

Henry distracts Suarez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Suarez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Henry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Suarez is working away from the top position though.
Henry is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Suarez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Suarez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Henry has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim Suarez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Henry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Suarez misses with a body kick.
It looked like Henry was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A slapping leg kick lands for Henry.
Suarez tries a head kick but it misses.

Henry keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
As Suarez backs away, Henry returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Suarez has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Henry.
Suarez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Henry but Henry pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Henry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Suarez is trying to defend but Henry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

As Suarez tries to get set, Henry tries to push him back and clinch up but Suarez manages to avoid the attempt.

and Henry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Suarez dives in and grabs Henry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Henry pushes down on Suarez's head and hops out.

Henry is looking to clinch but Suarez is avoiding it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
