The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slobodyanyuk dives in for a single leg takedown but Jons sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Slobodyanyuk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Slobodyanyuk lands in his opponent's guard.
Jons utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jons is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Slobodyanyuk wanted to stand there but Jons had control of the position.
Jons wants to control but Slobodyanyuk passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
