PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricco Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacken Sick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bader comes into the arena with It's a Long Way to the Top blaring out of the sound system. Sick has chosen Quero ver o oco as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bader darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bader stops Sick from getting back to his feet.
Sick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bader trying to pass the guard but Sick defending well.
Sick is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bader is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bader seems to be working for a kimura but Sick defends the submission attempt.

Bader is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Sick is trying to stand.

Bader is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bader.

Bader is working for a kimura but Sick is defending it quite comfortably.
Bader wants to free his trapped foot but Sick is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bader is breathing heavily.
Bader is working hard here to advance position.
Sick is trying to stand up here but Bader is controlling him well.

Sick kicks Bader off and gets back to his feet.
Sick lands a jab-cross combination.

Sick bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bader showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sick.
Sick pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bader is out of range and Sick settles back down.
Bader misses with a takedown attempt - Sick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sick stuns Bader with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ricco Bader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sick tries to bum rush Bader with a series of wild strikes but Bader uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jacken Sick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sick lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Sick misses with a wild combination.

Bader shoots in and bounces Sick off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bader stands and throws Sick's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Bader is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sick is trying to escape and Bader transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sick is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bader! Very nice indeed!
