Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ossilus Chiarmanda (ranked 2892 p4p, 331 weight class) and Kang Xi Jia (ranked 2742 p4p, 311 weight class). Chiarmanda comes to the cage accompanied by National Anthem of Tajikstan. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiarmanda tries to clinch up
and Xi Jia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chiarmanda doesn't manage to clinch there - Xi Jia circles away.

Xi Jia bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chiarmanda's head backwards.

Chiarmanda is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Chiarmanda throws out a loose jab but Xi Jia uses good head movement to avoid it.

Xi Jia shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chiarmanda manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Xi Jia has hold of Chiarmanda's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Chiarmanda tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Xi Jia cranks the arm and Chiarmanda screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Chiarmanda, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
