Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Squanchy Squanch (ranked 4714 p4p, 496 weight class) and Marky Mark (ranked 4754 p4p, 498 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Squanchy Squanch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marky Mark!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squanch ducks under a wild hook from Mark.
Squanch moves out of range of the strikes.
Mark falls off balance throwing a combination
and Squanch counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mark misses with a left hand
and Squanch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Marky Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mark shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Squanch pinned against the cage. Squanch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Squanch has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
