The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyons looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lyons misses with a hook.
Shinnie misses with a looping left.
As Shinnie looks to move away, Lyons throws a big counter combo but Shinnie just gets out of the way.
Lyons looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shinnie is fending him off so far but Lyons persists. Nope, Shinnie circles away and we're back to standing.
Shinnie throws a lazy right hand but Lyons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lyons fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hannibal Lyons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lyons throws a shot from downtown. Shinnie moves away and avoids it.
Shinnie misses with a jab to the body
and Lyons counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shinnie throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lyons counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Kevin Shinnie has been cut.
Shinnie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Shinnie misses with a straight left.
Shinnie feints a jab promting Lyons to slip. Shinnie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lyons slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Lyons fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shinnie scores with a sloppy right hand. Lyons should have avoided that one.
Good leg kick by Lyons there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shinnie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good exchange - Shinnie coming out on top.
Lyons's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shinnie connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lyons scrambles back to his feet.
Shinnie lands a jab to the head.

Lyons is rocked!
Shinnie connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Lyons out cold! This one is over in a flash!
