The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch up.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Buster circles away.
Buster shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Buster throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Buster throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Smith tries to clinch up but Buster circles away and keeps his distance.
Horrible takedown by Buster or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.
Buster closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Buster pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mike Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dyson Buster.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith connects with the punch.

It looks like Dyson Buster has been cut.
Buster throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smith's head.
Smith tries to clinch there but Buster circles away.
Buster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Smith lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buster keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith seems to be looking for submissions.

Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Buster's head.
Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Buster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Buster is just out of range.
Buster takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smith throws a push kick but Buster slaps the foot to one side.
Smith tries to land a front kick but Buster steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Buster shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Smith throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Buster showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Smith tries to clinch up but Buster circles away and keeps his distance.

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Buster's guard.

Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Buster has a closed guard, preventing Smith from standing up.

Buster has his feet on Smith's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buster on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Buster cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Buster won't let Smith get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Smith's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Smith duly obliges.
Buster shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Smith wants to clinch but Buster slips to the side

and Buster holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Smith misses with some punches.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Smith is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Buster pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Buster is pressed up against the cage. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Buster down to the mat. Buster avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Buster bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

BOOM! Buster connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Smith tries to reverse the position but Buster maintains control.
Buster has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Smith's face.
Smith tries to hold on but Buster pushes him away.
Buster scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Smith?

Dyson Buster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
