Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tel Britton (ranked 690 p4p, 74 weight class) and Tearrius George (ranked 1461 p4p, 158 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tel Britton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tearrius George!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George throws a nice looking combination but Britton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Britton throws a jab when George was well out of range.
Britton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Britton misses the jab.
George misses with a body shot.
Britton with a nice cross.


It looks like Tearrius George has been cut.
Britton just misses with a punch to the body.
George throws a hook but Britton avoids it easily.
George dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
George lands an uppercut.
Britton blocks a punch to the side of the head.
George misses with a body punch.
Britton misses with an elbow over the top.
Britton prevents a body shot from George.
George wants to get back to striking at distance but Britton won't allow it.
George lands with a right to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Britton pulls guard.
George pushes down on Britton's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Britton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Britton is staying active underneath George, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Britton wants to improve his position but George is controlling well.

George is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Britton is concentrating on defense, preventing George from advancing position.
Britton wants to control but George is keeping busy.
George wants to take a breather but Britton is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Britton is in trouble now - George has advanced to mount!
George is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Britton can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Britton sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Britton is defending against the submission attempts here by George.
Britton is staying active underneath George, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

George is working for a kimura but Britton is defending it quite comfortably.
George drops an elbow to the side of Britton's head.

George is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Britton is trying to maintain the position but George is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
George wants to lay and pray for a moment but Britton keeps working.
Britton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
George would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Britton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
George engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Britton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Britton has control of George's left arm, preventing George from doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Britton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Britton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A shot to the liver by George. Beautiful body shot.
Britton moves away from the strike by George.
The fighters circling - Britton throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
George is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
George has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Britton jabs George right on the nose. George blinks but takes it well.
Britton throws a hook to the side of George's head but George sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
George throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

George scores with a sloppy right hand. Britton should have avoided that one.


Britton is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Britton on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
George misses with a low kick.
George tries a head kick but it misses.
A telegraphed right hand from George misses the target.
George uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Britton.
George tries a quick counter leg kick but Britton is wise to it.

George throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
George fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Britton manages to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from George. Those never looked like landing.
George misses with a looping right.
A little feinted left hand from Britton on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Britton blocks a jab.
Britton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
George throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Britton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Britton doesn't manage to clinch there - George circles away.
George tries a head kick but it misses.

Britton swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
George throws a low kick but it's checked well by Britton.

The fighters circling - George throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A bone on bone clash there as Britton blocks the leg kick.

and Britton counters with a nice uppercut.
Britton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but George was well out of range. Poor timing from Britton.

enabling Britton to counter with a crisp jab.
A lazy left from Britton finds it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Britton throws a lazy right hand but George sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That has opened up Tearrius George's cut even more.
Britton walks into a left hand.
Britton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before George has time to react.
Britton thuds his right hand into George's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
George misses with a straight right.
Britton misses with a straight right.
Britton lands with an uppercut that bounces George off the cage and back into range.
George tries to land a leg kick but Britton saw it coming and moves away.

Britton throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
George throws a predictable looking body shot
and George takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for George. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Britton connects with a right hand. George shakes it off.


The cut above Tearrius George's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Britton blocks a jab.
Britton throwing a counter right hand but George manages to avoid it.
George lands an overhand right.
Britton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
George swings for the body but Britton moves out of range.
Britton is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
George will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice straight punches there by George. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of George.
Britton tries to clinch but George moves out of range.

George lands a big uppercut and Britton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Britton looks OK. George waves Britton back to his feet!
Oh Britton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

George feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Britton's calf.
George lands a front kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Britton seems to have got his legs back now.
George lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from George.
Britton is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
George throws a lazy right hand but Britton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
George scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Britton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but George paws at him with a jab and circles away.
George swings and misses with a hook to the body.
George works Britton's body with a nice hook.
Britton takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
George lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A looping hook to the body misses from George. Britton does a little dance to reset his feet.
George lands a slapping body shot.
George lands a jab-cross combination.
Donk. Britton catches George right on the button with a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tearrius George showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


George walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Britton checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Britton connects with the punch.
George moves out of range of the strikes.
Britton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
George swings and misses with a hook to the body.
George connects with an inside leg kick.
George bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Britton's head.
George throws a big shot that misses.

Britton has managed to clinch.
Britton working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Britton lands an elbow inside that George shrugs off.
Britton can't find room to land a body shot as George controls the action.

Britton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
George takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


Tearrius George's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
George takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
George throws a low kick but Britton avoids it.
George looks to land a body kick but Britton moved away.

Britton moves into range and clinches up with George.

Britton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tearrius George's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
