Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Kirk (ranked 7801 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Ali (ranked 25050 p4p, 0 weight class). Ali Ali is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kirk quickly recovers to half guard.
Ali decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Ali darts in and clinches Kirk up against the cage.
Ali has picked Kirk up - he's going for a ride! Ali dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Ali wants to free his trapped foot but Kirk is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ali postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kirk to stand up.
Ali manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kirk on his heels. He'll look to pass Kirk's guard now, I'm sure.

Ali stands up and beckons Kirk to his feet.
Ali throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kirk tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ali is in Kirk's guard.

Kirk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kirk pulls Ali in close to prevent any damage.
Ali would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ali. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ali takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ali is breathing heavily.
Kirk blocks a head kick by Ali.
It looked like Kirk was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ali.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Kirk.
Kirk wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ali, who protects the arm well.
Kirk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ali is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ali wants to control but Kirk passes into side.
Ali tries to buck Kirk off but Kirk is having none of it.
Ali is trying to control Kirk's posture but Kirk avoids it.
Ali takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ali is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ali can't do much from the bottom here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kirk tries for a kimura but Ali is defending well.
Wilson Kirk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ali Ali is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ali controls the position for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wilson Kirk.
I think Ali has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
