Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anlon Sivad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anlon Sivad acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anlon Sivad!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner tries to clinch up but Sivad circles away and keeps his distance.
Sivad tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sivad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Sivad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sivad scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sivad is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Turner reverses the position - he's now on top in Sivad's guard.

Sivad pushes Turner off and scrambles back to his feet.
Turner tries to clinch up but Sivad circles away and keeps his distance.
Turner tries to close the distance and clinch but Sivad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Sivad counters with a shoot takedown. Turner fights it but they end up in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Turner holds on and takes a little breather.

Turner has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sivad off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Turner stuffs the takedown.

Turner closes the distance and clinches.

Sivad breaks from the clinch.
Turner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sivad circles away quickly and effectively.

Sivad shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Turner wants to stand and escape but Sivad is having none of it.

Sivad avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sivad wants to stand and escape but instead Turner has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Sivad thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Turner wants to pass the guard but Sivad is keeping the position.

Sivad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Turner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Turner stands up and waves to Sivad to follow him.
Turner throws a head kick that misses.

Sivad gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sivad trying to keep a closed guard but Turner is proving a slippery customer.

Sivad has Turner pulled in close to control his posture.

Turner gets to his feet - Sivad follows without any prompting.
Turner lands a with a good body shot.
Turner shoots in looking for a takedown. Sivad tries to sprawl out of it but Turner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sivad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Turner decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sivad to his feet.
Sivad circles away from the clinch attempt.
Turner scores with a head kick.

Turner shoots in looking for a takedown. Sivad tries to sprawl out of it but Turner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sivad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Turner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sivad.
Sivad dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Turner. That did some damage!

Sivad dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Turner counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Sivad has his foot on Turner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Turner works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sivad is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turner is controlling him.
Sivad wants to sweep but no luck.

Turner stands and steps away. Sivad gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sivad fails with the takedown.

Turner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Turner is working for a guillotine from mount but Sivad frees his head quite easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Sivad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Turner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sivad pinned against the cage. Sivad gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sivad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turner as he jumps to the side.
A left lands for Turner.

and Turner counters with a single leg into guard. Sivad didn't expect that.

Turner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Turner misses with a two punch combination.

Turner wants to control from the top but Sivad keeps moving.

Sivad isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Turner stacks Sivad on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Turner!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Turner decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Turner tries to clinch but Sivad is having none of it.
Sivad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sivad swats away the attempt to clinch by Turner.
Turner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sivad circles away.

Sivad shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Turner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sivad.
Turner misses with a kick to the body.
Sivad misses with a head kick.
James Turner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Turner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Turner fails with the takedown
and Sivad counters with a series of strikes. Turner will be more careful next time no doubt.

James Turner showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Turner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
