Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Salman Shamkhalaev (ranked 4801 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clemence Nassibu (ranked 4669 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamkhalaev comes to the cage accompanied by Alter Bridge - Ties That Bind. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Salman Shamkhalaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clemence Nassibu!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nassibu is fighting to break Shamkhalaev's control of his arms but Shamkhalaev is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shamkhalaev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nassibu is bucking up trying to escape but Shamkhalaev cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Shamkhalaev is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nassibu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Nassibu tries to lock up and control but Shamkhalaev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nassibu really wants to buck Shamkhalaev off and get back to his feet.

Shamkhalaev jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nassibu manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shamkhalaev remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Nassibu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shamkhalaev pinned against the cage. Shamkhalaev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Shamkhalaev postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Nassibu in real trouble here! The ref calls for Nassibu to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

A relieved looking Salman Shamkhalaev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
