The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Bear or perhaps it was just good defense by Oreiro, which made it look bad.
Oreiro looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Bear shoots in for a double leg but Oreiro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oreiro lands a jab to Bear's midsection.
Bear misses with a takedown attempt
and Oreiro counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bear bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Oreiro pushes Bear away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bear gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oreiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oreiro wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Oreiro is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big shot lands for Bear! That's hurt Oreiro! Will he recover? Bear fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

In his post fight interview, Chief Bear started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
