Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Young Carrillo (ranked 24975 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damagus Maximus (ranked 5826 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Young Carrillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Damagus Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Maximus.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carrillo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Carrillo is just content to waste time from the top position. Maximus takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Carrillo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Carrillo stands and steps away. Maximus gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Maximus lands a nice shot to the body.

Carrillo has Maximus up against the cage in a clinch.
Carrillo scores with a shoulder strike.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carrillo is trying to break free.

Maximus turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maximus manages to end up in side control.
Maximus tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Carrillo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carrillo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maximus pulls his head out easily.

Maximus is working for a submission of some sort.
Carrillo gets back to full guard.
Maximus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Let's hope that Maximus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Maximus closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carrillo quickly recovers to half guard.

Carrillo is looking to escape.

Carrillo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maximus pulls his head out easily.
Carrillo tries to kick Maximus off but Maximus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Maximus winds up and cracks Carrillo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Maximus looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Carrillo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Maximus.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Young Carrillo will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Carrillo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Maximus to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Carrillo has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Maximus is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Maximus pulls guard.
Carrillo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Maximus is proving hard to escape from.

Carrillo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maximus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carrillo has managed to get both his arms back between Maximus's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maximus tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Carrillo trying to control the position from guard on top but Maximus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carrillo wants to stand but Maximus is controlling his posture from full guard.

Carrillo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maximus, up you get!

Maximus clinches.

Carrillo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maximus stuffs the takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carrillo enables Maximus to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carrillo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Maximus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carrillo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maximus has managed to get both his arms back between Carrillo's legs - danger averted.

Maximus avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maximus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Maximus decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Maximus scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Damagus Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maximus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carrillo's guard.
Carrillo is wriggling around but Maximus manages to pass to half guard.

Maximus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Well, if Maximus is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Damagus Maximus has got the better of the ground game so far.

Maximus looking for a submission but Carrillo manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Damagus Maximus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Maximus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carrillo to the mat! Carrillo manages to get full guard.

Carrillo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Maximus is aware though and is defending well.
Carrillo is looking to stand up but Maximus isn't so interested in that idea.
Maximus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Carrillo is working an open guard so Maximus takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Maximus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maximus throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carrillo because Maximus loaded up on that one.
Carrillo tries to hold on but Maximus postures up.
Carrillo avoids a strike by Maximus and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Maximus's guard! Fantastic escape!
Maximus looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Maximus is still trying to improve position.
Carrillo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Maximus has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Carrillo won't allow Maximus to sweep him here.

Carrillo stands up and waves to Maximus to follow him.

Maximus looking to score a takedown here. Carrillo is defending well but Maximus drives through and ends up in Carrillo's guard.

Carrillo trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Carrillo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maximus defends well.
Maximus scoring with punches to the head and body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Maximus gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Maximus scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Damagus Maximus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Maximus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
