Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Shiflett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes has chosen Country Boy Can Survive as his entrance music. Jesse Shiflett looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shiflett gets caught flat footed, as Hughes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shiflett looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hughes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hughes chips away with some ground and pound.

Shiflett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hughes advances to half guard.

Hughes seems to be working for a kimura but Shiflett defends the submission attempt.
Shiflett has hold of Hughes's hands but Hughes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hughes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Shiflett!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shiflett is in a horrible position here. Hughes smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Shiflett is rocked!
Shiflett is bucking up trying to escape but Hughes cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Shiflett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big strike lands for Hughes! That's really hurt Shiflett and he's turned his back - Hughes keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Hughes Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
