Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teyshau Prince (ranked 5872 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azimaku Renile (ranked 6060 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Teyshau Prince!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Azimaku Renile!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prince tries to clinch up.
Renile looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Renile takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Azimaku Renile has been cut.
Prince defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Renile.
Renile fails with a takedown attempt.

Renile gets tackled into the cage by Prince. Prince maintains the clinch.

Prince breaks the clinch.

Prince drives through and clinches with Renile against the cage.

Prince has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Renile regains guard immediately.
Prince throws a big elbow that misses.
Renile being controlled here, momentarily.

Prince gets to his feet. Renile looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Renile is defended easily by Prince.
Teyshau Prince has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azimaku Renile.
Renile blocks a head kick by Prince.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Good leg kick by Prince there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Prince has Renile pressed against the cage, preventing Renile from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Prince wants a takedown.
Prince lands a nice elbow.

Prince breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Renile throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Prince fails to land with a series of punches.
Prince dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Renile. That did some damage!
Prince lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Renile circles away quickly and effectively.

Renile looks for the body kick but Prince saw that one coming.

Prince has closed the distance and engaged Renile in a clinch.
Prince tries to land knees in the clinch but Renile avoids the damage to the body.
Prince lands a shoulder strike.
Renile tries for a takedown. No joy.

Prince breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Prince moves into the clinch.
Renile is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Prince gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Prince is trying to pull guard but Renile has him pressed against the cage.

Prince's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Prince tries for a takedown but Renile sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Prince tries to bum rush Renile with a series of wild strikes but Renile uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Renile takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Prince closes the distance and clinches.

Prince jumps guard and drags Renile to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Renile won't allow Prince to sweep him here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Renile trying to control the position from guard on top but Prince is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Prince trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Prince's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Prince moves into the clinch successfully.
Prince tries to score a body lock takedown but Renile shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Prince breaks the clinch.
Renile throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prince.
Prince is looking to clinch.
Renile misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Prince feinted with a counter takedown.

Prince drives through and clinches with Renile against the cage.
Prince connects with a knee to the head.
Prince jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Renile walks away with a smile on his face. Prince gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prince scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Prince is defended easily by Renile.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teyshau Prince. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Prince bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Renile is breathing heavily.
Prince wants to control but Renile is keeping him busy.

Prince tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Prince has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Renile tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Prince seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Renile for as long as he can get away with.

Prince keeps control of the position easily here as Renile tries to buck him off.
Prince is looking to control Renile but Renile is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Prince really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Renile.
Prince's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Prince is looking to control Renile but Renile is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Prince is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Renile defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Prince drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Prince decides to stand back up.
Prince misses with a head kick.
Prince tries to score a power double leg takedown but Renile sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Prince somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prince throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Prince closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Prince is looking to advance position but Renile won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Prince controlling the action here.

Prince is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Renile doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Prince.

Prince escapes and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Prince gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Prince wants a takedown.
Prince has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Renile avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teyshau Prince. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Prince escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Renile enables Prince to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Renile manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Renile escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prince gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Renile is working an open guard so Prince takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Prince instigates a clinch.
Prince jumps guard but Renile stands there with Prince around his waist. Prince gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Prince stalls.

Prince breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Prince throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Renile sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Teyshau Prince is winning the standup battle so far.

Prince gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Prince has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Renile is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Prince prevents a takedown attempt there.

Prince's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Renile blocks a head kick by Prince.
Prince will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Prince moves in looking to clinch but Renile pushes him off.
Prince shoots in looking for a takedown. Renile tries to sprawl out of it but Prince keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Renile manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Azimaku Renile has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Teyshau Prince is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Teyshau Prince showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Prince has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
