Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alvin Goff (ranked 5912 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Mondo (ranked 5179 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mondo's choice of entrance music: Atomic Dog (George Clinton). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goff closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mondo circles away.
Mondo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Goff is out of range.
Goff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mondo.
Goff is looking for a counter combo.
Mondo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mondo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Goff sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Goff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mondo walks away with a smile on his face. Goff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Goff ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mondo moves away.

Goff feinted with a counter takedown.
Goff takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Mondo counters with a three punch combo that has Goff backing up. Goff nods at Mondo to acknowledge the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mondo shoots for a double leg takedown but Goff sprawls well. He's pushed Mondo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Goff has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mondo uses from the top position.
Mondo is fighting to break Goff's control of his arms but Goff is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Goff has his feet on Mondo's thighs here. He's pushed Mondo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mondo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
