PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Beaubois (ranked 6354 p4p, 298 weight class) and Sergio Belkacem (ranked 24622 p4p, 377 weight class). Lionel Beaubois had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beaubois thows a left - swing and a miss!
As Beaubois backs off Belkacem throws a huge counter combo but Beaubois manages to avoid it all.
Belkacem misses with a hook. Beaubois ducked under it nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Belkacem lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Beaubois backs up against the cage.
Beaubois is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Belkacem.
Beaubois throws a shot from downtown. Belkacem moves away and avoids it.
Belkacem swings for the body but Beaubois moves out of range.
Belkacem stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Belkacem throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A punch combination from Belkacem misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Beaubois misses the target.
Belkacem misses with a body kick.
Beaubois looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Belkacem lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beaubois circles away quickly and effectively.

Belkacem takes a kick to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Belkacem connects with a right hand. Beaubois shakes it off.
The crowd cheers as Belkacem lands an impressive looking overhand right. Beaubois doesn't seem phased though.
Belkacem ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Belkacem throws a combination that misses
and Beaubois counters with a series of strikes. Belkacem will be more careful next time no doubt.

Belkacem throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beaubois sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Beaubois was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Belkacem seems to have recovered his senses.
A head kick misses from Belkacem.
Belkacem swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Beaubois counters with a stiff right hand.

Beaubois lands a big right hand that sends Belkacem crashing to the mat! Beaubois stays standing though and waves Belkacem back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beaubois steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Belkacem.
Look low, kick high! Beaubois uses the oldest trick in the book to send Belkacem tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Beaubois is absolutely delighted - when Belkacem wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
