Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Siracha (ranked 3906 p4p, 320 weight class) and Steve Henley (ranked 3632 p4p, 304 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Siracha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Henley!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Henley.
Siracha has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Henley looks for a takedown but Siracha sprawls well.
Siracha throws a big counter combination but Henley scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Henley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Siracha with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Siracha misses with a wild body shot.
Henley looks to land a combination but Siracha avoids it well.
A big left from Henley misses.
Henley throws a right and a left that both miss.
Henley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Siracha fires out a quick counter leg kick but Henley just manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Siracha. Henley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Siracha lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Henley backs up against the cage.
Siracha attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Henley tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Henley blocks a low kick nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Henley misses with a few strikes there.
Henley scores with a sloppy right hand. Siracha should have avoided that one.


It looks like Pedro Siracha has been cut.

Henley has managed to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Siracha escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Henley tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Henley throws a right and a left that Siracha avoids nicely.
Siracha quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Siracha throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Henley tries to close the distance and clinch but Siracha swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Henley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Siracha.

Henley shoots in and gets a takedown into Siracha's guard.

Henley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Siracha looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Siracha looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Siracha!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henley gets back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Siracha is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Henley moves into full guard.

Henley looking for a guillotine here but Siracha defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Henley can't keep his opponent in guard - Siracha advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Siracha with the ground and pound but Henley uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Siracha looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Siracha postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Siracha wants to control from the top but Henley keeps moving.

Henley has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Siracha doesn't defend quickly enough and Henley has managed to lock this one up! Can Siracha escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Henley on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Steve Henley!
A very excited looking Steve Henley made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
