Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kotrc shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Franco sprawls well. Franco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kotrc gets slowly back to his feet.
Franco raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Franco has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kotrc shoots in but Franco avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And Franco tries to counter it with a takedown but Kotrc pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Franco counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kotrc!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kotrc dodges the ground and pound from Franco.
Franco tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kotrc really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kotrc gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Franco has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kotrc's face.

Franco tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kotrc's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kotrc wants to control but Franco is having none of it.

Franco fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
