The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett throws a left and a right that both miss

and Lanaster counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Lanaster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lanaster is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Howlett is looking to escape.

Lanaster seems to be working for a kimura but Howlett defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
