The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Towsciak moves into the clinch.
Jones breaks the clinch.
No luck for Towsciak with that takedown attempt.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Towsciak counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
Towsciak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones is adopting a defensive guard.
Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Towsciak stands and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Towsciak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nathan Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee warns Towsciak that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
