The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Marty Block has been cut.

Block looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Wade wriggles free and stands up.
Wade misses the jab.
Wade misses with a looping left.
Wade loads up on a big right hand but Block slips the punch.
Wade throws an overhand right that lands on Block's shoulder, as Block tries to avoid the shot.
Wade scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Block closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Block prevents Wade from standing back up.
Block missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Wade wants to improve his position but Block is controlling well.
Block trying to control from half guard but Wade is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wade wants to control but Block is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Wade kicks off Block and gets to his feet.
Wade takes a swing at Block's ribcage but misses.

Block fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Block shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wade as he jumps to the side.

Wade throws an overhand right that lands on Block's shoulder, as Block tries to avoid the shot.
Block moves away from the strike by Wade.
Wade stuns Block with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wade works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Wade gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Block counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wade's guard now.
Wade wants to get back to his feet but Block is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Block is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wade lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Block!

Block in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

The cut above Marty Block's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Block wants to control but Wade is having none of it.
Wade wants to control the pace but Block is squirming around nicely.
Wade with shots to the head and body - Block looks very uncomfortable down there.

Block throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wade lands a left and a right that sends Block crashing to the canvas! Wade dives into mount looking to finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marty Block's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
