Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cyrius Python (ranked 3901 p4p, 432 weight class) and Shino Kanihara (ranked 8464 p4p, 683 weight class). Kanihara has chosen Onlap's "Whispers in my Head" as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Python drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Python jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kanihara felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Python is looking to take a break and control but Kanihara is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kanihara pushes Python off looking to stand but Python dives back in and keeps control.
Kanihara is not content to let Python control the position.
