Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arron Webster (ranked 8896 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Anderson (ranked 4793 p4p, 0 weight class). Corey Anderson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arron Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Corey Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson misses with a body kick.

Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Anderson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Anderson wants to stand but Webster is controlling his posture from full guard.
Anderson trying to control but Webster is working from the bottom.
Anderson is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webster is looking to stand up but Anderson isn't so interested in that idea.

Anderson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Anderson breaks from the clinch.
Webster is looking to clinch but Anderson is avoiding it.
Anderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Webster, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Webster has his takedown stuffed

and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Anderson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Webster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Webster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Webster is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Webster keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully.

Webster has his foot on Anderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anderson works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson is looking to stand up but Webster won't let him.

Webster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Anderson passes Webster's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Webster is holding on to half guard well.

Anderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Webster trying to control but Anderson postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Corey Anderson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Anderson misses with a leg kick.

Webster gets caught napping as Anderson dives in and scores a takedown. Webster manages to retain guard.
Webster keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully.
Webster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Webster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Anderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Webster wants to get back to full guard.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Webster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Anderson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Anderson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Webster doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anderson.
Anderson wants to get back to his feet.
Webster keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Anderson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Webster tries to clinch but Anderson is having none of it.

Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Webster did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.

Anderson is keen to just control but Webster is a slippery customer.

Webster fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Anderson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Corey Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Anderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Webster takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson tries to advance to mount but can't.
Anderson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.


Webster is rocked!

Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Webster tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Anderson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Webster is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Webster manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Anderson tries to stand but Webster is controlling from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Corey Anderson.
I've got Anderson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
