The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitetti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Banes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Banes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Sanderlei Bitetti has been cut.
Bitetti blocks a jab.
A head kick misses from Bitetti.
Bitetti looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bitetti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Banes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bitetti has time to react.
Banes jabs Bitetti to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bitetti on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Banes. Banes obviously looking to wear him down.
Bitetti swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Banes.

It looks like Cobb Banes has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big left from Banes misses.
Bitetti throws a sloppy head kick and Banes moves out of range easily.
That kick from Banes tenderised Bitetti's leg. Bitetti is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bitetti misses with a body shot.
Banes lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bitetti takes a step back to recover.
Banes throws a jab when Bitetti was well out of range.
Banes cracks a nice hook into Bitetti's ribs.
Bitetti looks to score with a jab to the body but Banes is just out of range.
A swing and a miss from Bitetti.
Bitetti drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Bitetti walks straight into a right hand from Banes - that's dropped him! Banes jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bitetti from any more punishment! Bitetti complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Cobb Banes!
