PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Forged Steel (ranked 18463 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wooden Pencil (ranked 3802 p4p, 0 weight class). Pencil comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Full Retard kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Wooden Pencil has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Forged Steel !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wooden Pencil!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Pencil.
Steel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pencil drops Steel with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Steel looks back up at him and smiles so Pencil waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Pencil has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A jab from Pencil misses.
Steel throws a leg kick

and Pencil counters with a shoot takedown. Steel fights it but they end up in guard.
Steel is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Pencil dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pencil stands up and beckons Steel to his feet.
Steel moves out of range of the strikes.
Pencil moves out of range as Steel strikes.
Pencil with the counter takedown but Steel avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel misses with a right hand

and Pencil counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Pencil stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Steel to get to his feet.
Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
Pencil looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Pencil throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pencil fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Steel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Pencil cracks Steel with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Steel falls to his knees and Pencil doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wooden Pencil!
