Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Walid Seghir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bradford Volkanovski!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seghir throws a big shot that misses.
Volkanovski wants to clinch.
Volkanovski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Seghir sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Volkanovski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seghir pinned against the cage. Seghir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A left and a right from Volkanovski both land. Nice combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Seghir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Volkanovski is trying to control the position but Seghir postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Seghir throws a leg kick but Volkanovski sees it coming and moves out of range.

Volkanovski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Seghir is working away from the top position though.

Seghir is taking a breather. Volkanovski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Seghir looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Volkanovski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Seghir working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Seghir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Volkanovski is just riding it out for now. Seghir eventually gives up the hold.

Volkanovski darts in looking for a takedown but Seghir gets double underhooks and turns Volkanovski into the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Seghir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volkanovski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
