Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toni Urg (ranked 7370 p4p, 0 weight class) and Makebono Bowen (ranked 9132 p4p, 0 weight class). Makebono Bowen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bowen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Urg counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Urg.
Urg won't allow Bowen to get back to his feet.
Urg controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

It looks like Makebono Bowen has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Urg is controlling him.
Urg sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bowen wants to stand but Urg is controlling the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Urg throwing strikes from guard but Bowen blocks nicely.
Urg might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bowen tries to clinch but Urg moves out of range.
Bowen throws a looping overhand right but Urg ducks down to avoid it.

Urg moves into range and clinches up with Bowen.
Urg misses with a knee strike.
Bowen is trying to push Urg away but Urg has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Bowen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Urg is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bowen to the mat. Bowen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Bowen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Urg dives into side control.
Urg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Urg stands up and beckons Bowen to his feet.

Urg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bowen tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Urg manages to move to mount!

Bowen is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bowen is bucking up trying to escape but Urg cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Bowen is trying to stand but he's just given Urg his back.
Urg keeps control of the position easily here as Bowen tries to buck him off.

Urg lands an elbow to the side of the head.

That has opened up Makebono Bowen's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Makebono Bowen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
