Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrej Ursic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobbie Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrej Ursic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobbie Jones!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to clinch but Ursic is avoiding it.

Jones rushes Ursic and presses him up against the cage.

Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ursic is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Jones wants to stand but Ursic has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Ursic wants to get back to his feet.
Ursic wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jones is thwarting Ursic's attempts to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ursic looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.

Ursic shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ursic stops Jones from getting back to his feet.
Ursic wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.

Ursic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Ursic is breathing heavily.

Jones kicks Ursic off and gets back to his feet.

Ursic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jones clinches up with Ursic and pushes him back against the cage.

Ursic successfully pulls guard.

Ursic throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Jones stands up and waves to Ursic to follow him.
A head kick misses from Ursic.
Ursic sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Jones has managed to clinch.

Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jones pushes Ursic off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jones jabs Ursic right on the nose. Ursic blinks but takes it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Ursic counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that.

Jones kicks Ursic off and gets to his feet.
Jones tries to clinch there but Ursic circles away.
A head kick from Jones lands but Ursic takes it in his stride.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Ursic moves out of range easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Jones throws a series of punches but Ursic avoids them all with ease.
Bobbie Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ursic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ursic takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Ursic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones pushes Ursic off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Ursic counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ursic backs up against the cage.

and Ursic counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.

Ursic decides to stand back up. Ursic steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet.

Ursic decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Ursic tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ursic tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jones using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Ursic has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrej Ursic will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Jones looks to clinch

and Ursic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now.

Jones pushes Ursic off and scrambles back to his feet.
Ursic scores with a kick to the midsection.

Ursic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Ursic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ursic throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ursic connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.
Ursic wants to advance to full mount but Jones doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Ursic trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ursic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ursic throwing strikes but missing.

Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Ursic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ursic closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters with a nice kick to the body.
Jones tries to clinch but Ursic moves out of range.
Jones tries to land a front kick but Ursic steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Ursic counters with a straight right hand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones throws a nice inside leg kick.

Ursic misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jones forces Ursic back against the cage and clinches.

Jones gets control of Ursic's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Ursic is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ursic has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.
Ursic missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ursic wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ursic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Jones tries to clinch up

and Ursic counters by clinching up.

Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ursic can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Ursic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ursic is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones gets to his feet. Ursic looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jones clinches.
Jones is trying to stall.
Ursic lands a knee to the head.
Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ursic.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrej Ursic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones jumps guard and drags Ursic to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jones has his feet on Ursic's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Jones is looking to clinch but Ursic is avoiding it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bobbie Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jones wants to clinch.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ursic.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Ursic.
Ursic dodges the punch combination from Jones.

Ursic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.

Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jones moves into the clinch.

Jones decides to pull guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jones wants to stand up but Ursic is controlling him.

Ursic stands up from guard. Let's bang!

and Ursic counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ursic.
Ursic has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jones is stalling here.

Jones breaks the clinch.
Ursic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Ursic fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jones tries to clinch up but Ursic circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Ursic pushes him off.
Ursic buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ursic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Andrej Ursic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Ursic shoots in.

and Ursic counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Ursic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andrej Ursic.
I think Ursic has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
