The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Thorsen. That one must have hurt.
Grey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thorsen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thorsen keeps the fight on the outside.
Grey looks for a takedown but Thorsen sprawls well.

Grey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thorsen's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Grey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Thorsen is proving hard to escape from.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Grey makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
