Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boss Yonic (ranked 2840 p4p, 397 weight class) and Bea Mason (ranked 2904 p4p, 408 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Yonic has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mason.
Mason misses with a kick to the body.
Yonic throws a body punch but Mason moves out of range.
Yonic looks to land a left hand but Mason moved out of range nicely.
Mason tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yonic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mason somewhat.
A quick step to the side and Yonic tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mason ducks under a wild hook from Yonic.
Mason darts in looking for a takedown but Yonic gets double underhooks and turns Mason into the cage.
Yonic fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mason to the ground. Yonic is now in Mason's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Yonic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mason sprawls well initially but Yonic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Yonic wants to free his trapped foot but Mason is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Yonic throws out a loose jab but Mason uses good head movement to avoid it.

Yonic seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mason for as long as he can get away with.

Mason had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yonic defends it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yonic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mason moves out of range of the strikes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mason! But no joy.

Yonic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mason's guard.
Our spies down at at Death Valley Training Facility inform us that Mason has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Well Yonic has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
