The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuida lands a nice hook to Azhiev's body. Azhiev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Azhiev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Cuida to counter with a crisp jab.
Cuida throws a wild body kick that Azhiev sees coming a mile off.
Azhiev shoots and misses
letting Cuida counter with a right hand.
Cuida throws a leg kick which misses Azhiev's front leg but catches the back leg as Azhiev tries to avoid it.
Azhiev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cuida circles away.
Gray Cuida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anzhor Azhiev.
Azhiev tries to move into range but Cuida moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cuida lands a jab to the nose.
Azhiev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cuida lands with an uppercut that bounces Azhiev off the cage and back into range.

Cuida keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Azhiev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Cuida throws a monster overhand right that drops Azhiev! Cuida follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

A less than humble Gray Cuida misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Anzhor Azhiev spoke after the fight, saying 'I still want that title shot. Im the most experienced fighter here and everyday wants to see me smash the champ so lets do it whenever he starts ducking me.'.
