The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barr shoots for a takedown but Marley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Marley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barr's guard.
Marley is standing up over Barr. Barr looks to escape but Marley dives into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marley lands a few punches from side control.
Marley cracks Barr with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sloppy strikes there by Marley.

Marley has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Barr is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Marley yanks on the arm and Barr is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Marley.
