The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell misses with the body kick
so Dupre counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dupre slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dupre trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Russell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Russell controls Dupre momentarily but Dupre frees himself.
Dupre trying to control the position from guard on top but Russell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Russell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Russell holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Russell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dupre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dupre sneaks back into half guard.

Dupre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Russell pulls his head out easily.
Russell tries to stand but can't do so whilst Dupre controls his leg.
Dupre is pressing down on Russell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Russell trying to control the position from guard on top but Dupre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dupre is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Russell has his hands clasped together but Dupre extends and breaks Russell's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dupre.
