The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hurst rushes Longbotton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hurst drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Longbotton gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Longbotton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Longbotton manages to end up in side control.

Hurst takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hurst is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longbotton is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hurst will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Hurst is pushing Longbotton's head away, looking to escape. Longbotton manages to hold on to the position though.
Longbotton is working Hurst over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hurst tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Longbotton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Longbotton grinds an elbow into Hurst's temple.
Hurst is looking for a sweep.
A lull in the action here.
Longbotton cracks Hurst with a big right hand but Hurst just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

A big shot lands for Longbotton! That's hurt Hurst! Will he recover? Longbotton fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
