Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Landon Wood (ranked 7284 p4p, 629 weight class) and Verneri Ahma (ranked 7314 p4p, 630 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Verneri Ahma!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Hemmingworth and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ahma feints a counter leg kick.
Wood looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wood takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ahma cracks a nice hook into Wood's ribs.
Ahma uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Landon Wood has been cut.
Wood stalks Ahma and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ahma's face. Ahma staggers backwards, shaken.
Wood fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ahma swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ahma connects with a jab.
Ahma scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ahma lands a nice hook to Wood's body. Wood takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ahma swats away the attempt to clinch by Wood.

Wood misses with a head kick.
Verneri Ahma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ahma connects with a stiff jab that staggers Wood - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Verneri Ahma tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
