PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Greene (ranked 8226 p4p, 213 weight class) and Kel Hunsaker (ranked 7950 p4p, 210 weight class). Greene comes into the arena with Tiger rap-by ANDRE NICOTINA blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kel Hunsaker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene lands a jab.
Greene connects with a body shot.
Greene could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hunsaker misses with a takedown
and Greene counters with a nice uppercut.
Hunsaker tries to clinch but Greene is having none of it.
Greene lands a jab to the nose.
Greene lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Greene with a hook.

Greene scores with a takedown into Hunsaker's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Greene trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Hunsaker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Greene wants to pass the guard but Hunsaker is keeping the position.

Hunsaker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like Kel Hunsaker has been cut.

Greene definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Greene had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hunsaker defends it easily.

Greene knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunsaker on the ground.
Hunsaker forces his way into half guard.

Hunsaker passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Greene!
Hunsaker is looking to work his way around to Greene's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Hunsaker mounts Greene! Really nice guard pass there!

Hunsaker misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hunsaker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Greene has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Greene wants to control but Hunsaker is having none of it.
Greene is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hunsaker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Greene is looking to escape.

Hunsaker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Greene is surviving well by controlling Hunsaker's body position as best he can.

Greene wants to control but Hunsaker is having none of it.
Greene keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Greene is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Hunsaker is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Greene to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Greene shrugs it off.
Greene wants to hold on but Hunsaker pushes him away.

Hunsaker moves to the back position.
Greene trying to control the hands but Hunsaker breaks the grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Greene will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Kel Hunsaker's cut.
That's time! Greene's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


The fight stays on the outside here - Hunsaker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A shot to the liver by Greene. Beautiful body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Greene.
Hunsaker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hunsaker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Greene as he avoids it easily.
Hunsaker takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Greene clobbers Hunsaker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hunsaker walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Greene wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Greene closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hunsaker to the mat! Hunsaker manages to get full guard.
Greene is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hunsaker can do to turn this around?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Greene pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hunsaker is keeping the position for now.
Greene lands a couple of elbows.
Greene is stalling in the full guard.

Greene is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Greene stands up over Hunsaker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hunsaker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Greene gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Greene cracks Hunsaker with a solid left hand.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Greene's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hunsaker looking for subs off his back but Greene has passed one foot through into half guard.
Greene lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hunsaker quite badly. Hunsaker pulls Greene in close trying to recover. Greene postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hunsaker on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hunsaker doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Greene!
