Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWilliam tries to clinch but Vanatta is having none of it.
Vanatta shoots and misses
and McWilliam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McWilliam scores with a kick to the body.
Vanatta just misses with a punch to the body.
Vanatta fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Vanatta. Those never looked like landing.
Vanatta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Danga de danga de dang - McWilliam scores with a four punch combination!
Vanatta darts in and clinches McWilliam up against the cage.
McWilliam is trying to break free.
McWilliam can't break the clinch.
McWilliam wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McWilliam struggles to land a body shot inside as Vanatta controls his hands.
Vanatta is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McWilliam is defending well for now.
Vanatta breaks from the clinch.
Vanatta takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vanatta throwing a counter right hand but McWilliam manages to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McWilliam bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vanatta's head.

McWilliam tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vanatta went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ewan McWilliam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McWilliam swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vanatta tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McWilliam manages to circle out of the way.
McWilliam goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Vanatta rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McWilliam moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vanatta takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
McWilliam scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McWilliam takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
McWilliam forces Vanatta back against the cage and clinches.
The referee calls for Vanatta to work.
Vanatta goes for a takedown attempt but McWilliam pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nice body kick from McWilliam.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vanatta fails with the takedown.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McWilliam.
A head kick misses from McWilliam.
McWilliam thows a body kick. Vanatta tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Vanatta slips a straight right by McWilliam.
McWilliam scoring well with a low kick there.
McWilliam throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A bone on bone clash there as Vanatta blocks the leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vanatta.
McWilliam thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Vanatta if he has to take too many more of those.
Vanatta avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
McWilliam throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ewan McWilliam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McWilliam scores with a kick to the midsection.

McWilliam lands a nice looking body kick.

Vanatta shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McWilliam counters with a nice body kick.
McWilliam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vanatta paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vanatta avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McWilliam tries to clinch up but Vanatta circles away and keeps his distance.
Vanatta moves into the clinch successfully.
McWilliam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vanatta crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McWilliam - the referee stops the clock and Vanatta gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McWilliam. Vanatta manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
McWilliam takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McWilliam lands a head kick. Vanatta smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
McWilliam lands a head kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vanatta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McWilliam tries to avoid it but Vanatta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McWilliam to the ground. McWilliam escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vanatta tries a head kick but it misses.
Vanatta is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McWilliam.
McWilliam throws a push kick but Vanatta slaps the foot to one side.
And Vanatta counters with a quick kick to the body but McWilliam blocks it.
McWilliam looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
McWilliam fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vanatta has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McWilliam swings for the body but Vanatta moves out of range.
McWilliam lands a jab to the head.
Vanatta is rocked!
McWilliam is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Vanatta hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ewan McWilliam!
