Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dominique Kennedy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Dark!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dark shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kennedy's guard.
Dark controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kennedy keeping full guard, as Dark tries to pass.
Kennedy is looking to stand up but Dark isn't so interested in that idea.
Dark is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dark throwing strikes but missing.

Dark gets to his feet - Kennedy follows without any prompting.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dark changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kennedy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dark fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kennedy tries to control but Dark manages to take his back.

Dark looking for the RNC.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Let's hope that Dark has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Dark has the hooks in. Kennedy is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Dark somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Dark slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Dark throws out a leg kick but Kennedy moves out of range and Dark only half commits.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Dark swats away the attempt to clinch by Kennedy.

Dark closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Dark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kennedy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dark scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Dark is working for a kimura but Kennedy is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dark decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Dark has Kennedy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dark pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kennedy tumbling to the mat - Dark dives into Kennedy's guard.

Kennedy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Michael Dark has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dark prevents Kennedy from improving his position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dark looks to land a strike but Kennedy avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Dark slips nicely into half guard.
Kennedy is looking for a sweep. Dark is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dark thows a huge punch but Kennedy dodges it nicely.

Michael Dark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Dark has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kennedy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dark is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kennedy is defending well though. Dark let's go of the attempt for now.

Dark is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kennedy has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

I really don't envy Kennedy right now.

Dark is persistently looking for the submission but Kennedy is defending it well.

Kennedy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dark is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Kennedy is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Well Dark has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
