Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio DeAngelo (ranked 5880 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Nguyen (ranked 25188 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Antonio DeAngelo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Antonio DeAngelo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeAngelo misses with a hook.
DeAngelo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nguyen . Nguyen obviously looking to wear him down.
Nguyen tries to clinch there but DeAngelo circles away.
DeAngelo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nguyen .
DeAngelo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nguyen moves away.

DeAngelo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nguyen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Nguyen is looking for a sweep. DeAngelo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
DeAngelo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Well, if DeAngelo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. DeAngelo connects with a nice short shot to Nguyen 's temple.

Nguyen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeAngelo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

DeAngelo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nguyen is trying to defend but DeAngelo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

DeAngelo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Nguyen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Antonio DeAngelo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
